Founded by Darren & Jessie Clarke as Music Lab Guitar School in 2003, this independant school has grown and evolved to the point where it's offering Professional Music Programs, and specializes in Guitar training, Song craft and Production.

The one of a kind Guitar Labs established MMA as Leaders in Guitar Training on the Central Coast of California. Having taught thousands and thousands of Guitar Labs, MMA knows a thing or two about Guitar Training at it's best. With strong connections to World leaders in music industry education - The Academy of Contemporary Music (With Colleges in Oklahoma, London, Cape Town and more) this boutique school in California is a somewhat hidden gem in the heart of San Luis Obispo. MMA promises an exceptional experience for musicians and is lining up some exciting Industry Qualification programs validated by ACM in London. The ACM programs that MMA licenses are hands-on, industry related, contemporary programs for musicians and songwriters who want to do something with their music and make a way in this rapidly changing industry.

MMA is a hub of musicians and creativity with two 30-Week Professional Music programs for 2010-2011 and a staple of part time evening programs during the school year. Programs are offered in the context of a professional recording studio, in a small customized boutique facility which houses a class room, a showcase room, and several studio rooms plus offices etc. We teach and use Logic & ProTools.
