• This 30 week program from ACM in London is fully customized for us and not offered anywhere else in the world.
• Designed to offer a guitarist the chance to study a serious but fun course and come out with a tangible set of products they can use to market them selves and or their bands. They will be developed as artists to showcase level and will graduate with with a full pack for promoting themselves or their project.
• Includes 6 hours of instruction per week PLUS bi-weekly tutorials and practice time in the studios.
• Course content includes Introduction to the Music Industry, Technical Development, Band & Performance Skills and Demo Recording.
MODULES
Module 1 – Introduction to the Music Industry
This module looks at artiste promotions and marketing, and overview of the structure of the USA music industry, online marketing channels and how to use them effectively, how to get a gig and gig sharing with out of town bands, building a fan base and image. Every student will finish with a full promotional pack for their chosen project, an online presence and a greater understanding of the music industry.
Module 2 – Technical Development (Contemporary Guitar)
This module looks at developing the player on their chosen instrument, and introduces elements of music theory vital to being a competent player. Taught through a song of the week, each element of the song is broken down and played and discussed. Every student will finish with a greater understanding of their instrument and music theory (and the ability to perform 30 songs like a pro).
Module 3 – Band & Performance Skills
This module is the performance element of the program and the song of the week is performed by each band a number of times during the session, with feedback form the tutors to look at arrangement, band dynamics, stage communication, stagecraft and presentation or image. Every student will have a better understanding of live performance and an increased repertoire of songs.
Module 4 – Demo Recording & Songcraft
This module consists of understanding the studio environment, using MIT technologies, tracking, mixing and mastering a demo quality CD for each students chosen project. Every student or project will finish with a Demo quality CD and a greater understanding of working in the recording studio.
SCHEDULE
30 Weeks total (Break for Thanksgiving, a month at Christmas, and Spring Break in April).
Schedule Monday, Wed, Friday,1-4 pm.
Orientation Wed Sept 2 1-5 pm
Start Date Wed Sept. 9 1-4 pm
Final Performance & Graduation May 14 or 15 : Show at Downtown Brew (TBC).

• Application Interview / Audition required
• For Guitarist Age 16+ (Mature students welcome)
• Fees $2695 upfront, or Deposit of $695 with 9 payments of $245 (Mastercard / Visa Required).
